When one looks around, softeners that have resin tanks seem to be the better choice than the ones that have brine tanks. One, because resin tanks are made in various hues and color shades now. Two, they’re lighter. Types which use brine tanks are bulkier and heavier. They look boring and troublesome.

If you want to install your water softener inside an outhouse, then choose one that has a brine water softener tank. An outhouse install means that the unit can’t really be seen and its aesthetic appeal doesn’t matter. Brine tanks also perform much effectively than resin tanks, even if these ones look nicer.
These brine tank units contain more salt and don’t use as much chlorine. Soft water that comes from resin tank model, are higher in chlorine content. There’s another reason to buy a system that has a brine tank. You will be drinking purified water that doesn’t have lots of chlorine, after it has been softened; not as much as you’ll get to drink if your tanks a resin tank.
